please can I have some reassurance/advice

I rang up the DWP enquiring about claiming income support for interest on repayment mortgages - during the call I had to hang up as I had a panic attack.
The lady took my name and address etc, and she mentioned going onto ESA.
I am already on incapacity benefit, so am I within my rights, if she sends an ESA form out, to return it blank, saying I am already on Incapacity Benefit.
Will this make them stop my benefits.

Am I just worrying, and will they probably not send an ESA form out.

please advise thankyou

It is only income-related Employment & Support Allowance that will qualify for help with mortgage assistance. As previous posts your income is too high for means tested benefits

The lady said I could go from incap to income related ESA, if she sends me a form out, can I return it blank, without being harrassed or having my benefits stopped.

This benefit stress is making my mental health worse :(

    thank you

They will not stop your benefits because of a form being sent out.

Will they send a form out?
Can I return it with a copy of my award letter from this year?
    Will they keep harrassing me?

I doubt very much they will harass you for NOT completing and claiming for a particular benefit - if you don't wish to claim the benefit- don't return the form

    I'm already on incapacity benefit.
I dont need any more benefits, I get all the ones I qualify for.
Can I assume, that, because I have my incapacity award letter, it is ok to throw the form away?
I cannot be sure so looking for confirmation.

An authority sending out a standard form to verify your eligibility and to process the application is not harassment.

Harassment is a criminal offence whereby a person deliberately and repeatedly performs actions to intimidate another.

If you are obliged to complete a government issued form, then your reluctance to complete it merely constitutes reluctance on your part and not harassment on theirs.

Everyone person currently on IB will be assessed for ESA over the next few years.

My question was will I be obliged to fill it out, but I guess I was being over paranoid.

I know that I will be assessed for ESA eventualy, but I have just had my review for incpacity benefit renewed this year.
Can I assume that I can ignore the form, because I have a renewal letter.
It is only the lady at the helpdesk who may send me out a form, I did not request it.
Earlier my paranoia was bad, so harrassment would be a wrong word, but I did not request a form.
The harrassment word came because they have reviewed me once, and to send me out a form, three months later, well???????????
I know I will eventually get another review and the form came from ATOS last time, which I filled out as it was due.

They have already assessed and confirmed my eligibility for now, so, surely, they cannot expect me to fill out this form, right.

Your pension is over £90 a week, incap £90 and the DLA is discounted, you wouldnt get (IB)ESA and you wont get morgage intrest relief on IB.

If you have enough benefits then pay the morgage intrest and save yourself the angush christine.
