I see your blog as a professional rather than a personal one - it may give a personal perspective but the content is generally about your professional life, it's hosted as part of MSE and extends the MSE brand etc. and this I guess is where I saw the problem as coming from - to me there is no distinction between your blog and the rest of this site.

I actually own a copy of the book but have never found it that useful (It's OK I don't do Amazon reviews :-] ).

There do seem to be plenty of people out there for who the book and the whole MSE thing has made a big difference, so that's a good thing regardless of my opinion.

Andy,
Can i ask?,why did you not find the book usefull,was it because,

1.You were already doing all the tips.

2.You didn't follow the suggestions in the book.

I am just curious that's all.

So what came first for you the book or visiting the site? Personally, I have to admit I havent read the book as I was already on the site when I found out that the first one existed.

Interestingly, one of my best friends has read the book and loved it, but has no interest in the site.

I just left a review and also noted that one review in particular was "not helpful" - guess whose?

Is a super book. It has given me a new view on finance and money related matters. I never posted feedback on the amazon site but I will do now.
