At the end of the day, it's the old story of hidden costs.
But why pay for paint and then throw it away..?/26.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_l6t05sfBhC1qd3k1io1_500.jpg
How dare you, MSE? I am not a 'new user'...0 -
I used my IPG tickets to play at a site in Kent called Mayhem. That's not Delta Force so I think that tells us all we need to know about the relationship between Delta Force and IPG. It's definitely the case that IPG is an agency and you can use their tickets at lots of paintball sites - not just Delta Force ones. I found the price fine; it's effectively £15.99 for entry, equipment and 200 paintballs. This is good value. I used about 300 extra paintballs on the day and paid something like £21 for these. Total cost of the day: £36.99. This isn't a lot of money for a whole day out. The tickets I bought had 'bullet points' on them detailing the key points (like the need to buy extra paintballs) so nothing 'caught me by surprise'. I'm a happy customer and I plan to use the IPG tickets I've got left over to try playing at Delta Force next as a mate played there on the weekend and loved it.0

I am unaware of any site that would let you do this - unless of course you are smuggling them in...
Walk-on's, even if we don't bring or own paint the owners still sell it at just a smidge over retail.0 -
we were miss sold these tickets by a lying agent. sent it back for a refund within the 7 day period as told. two weeks later still not got refund. Spoken to at least 6 different people and told lies every time why we have not got any money back yet. My advice stay well away from the set of rip off merchants. spent over 1 hour on phone trying to sort it out.:mad:0

I purchased some tickets for £60 from a street vendor in Worcester in May, who reassured me that if I changed my mind, I could return the tickets within 7 days for a full refund.
Well after doing some basic maths when I got home I decided that it would be far too expensive and returned the tickets.
2 weeks later they wrote to me requesting my credit card details, which I supplied. I should receive refund in 2 weeks.....
2 weeks later I phoned "woman dealing with my refund is on holiday but will deal with it asap"
4 weeks later I phone again, "email hasn't been received by refund dept, must be a problem with the system" told that details passed on again and refund should be with me within 7 days....
2 weeks later (today) woman dealing with my refund is on a call, but someone will call me back asap...
If the refund is not back on my card within 7 days I'm off to CAB cos this is so far beyond a joke that it's unreal!
Anyone have any helpful suggestions pls??0 -
Although the Delta Force/IPG business model is at best questionable, don't forget that there are lots of independent paintball sites out there trying to earn an honest crust.
And if the paint was sold at cost + 5/10%,how on earth would the sites survive?
If you love playing paintball, find out if your local INDEPENDENT site runs walk on days, for the equivalent cost of 2-3 trips to Delta Force, you could buy your own entry level equipment.Paint generally costs about £25 a box of 2000 paintballs.
Who knows,maybe you'll start getting into scenario paintball,but that's another step.:)0 -
to clear something up for a few people.
i have been investigating ipg and delta force as well as other companies and trading names they go by.
ipg and delta force are both run and owned by the same guy and he has the same practices world wide. this also includes internet reviewers and spammers hence the odd good review on here.
ipg is the sales and information collecting side of things. they move in and sign up other fields and then if sales are good then delta force moves in and sets up just down the road and they stop marketing the other field.
delta force is of course the field. dont expect cheap prices or in most cases good service. track down your local independent for that and if they take ipg tickets dont use them, keep looking, go elsewhere.
form what i have seen so far they have some very dirty practices that go all the way to the top well past the sales people and not much respect for local laws and safety practices.
further more ukpba and aupba are also run /owned by the same person so dont bother complaining to them. if you want proof of this just look up the ownership of the domain names and then look up who owns the company behind them. not that its not all the same company anyway0 -
Hi there folks, I would like to clear up a few things please. I used to be a Marshal at Delta force in Wakefield and can honestly say that you don't get the same quality at any other centre, than you do at Delta, they are movie quality, and recently a lot of the centres have gone through massive refurbishments. As for the IPG tickets you get a book of 10 for £60, valid for 6 months to a year, the price doesn't include paintballs but what a lot of IPG agents do, is include 1000 paintballs (100 per ticket) depending on what site you use for example, local sites (that are not Delta) won't accept the paintball vouchers, whereas National centres (ARE delta) will accept the vouchers.
Anywhere you go, whether it's delta OR NOT you're gonna have to buy your paintballs, Some are cheaper than others, but that's the same as anything else you buy, eg a jar of coffee could be cheaper at one supermarket than another.
Many people have had fantastic days out and regularly wrote in to the Wakefield centre, while i worked there saying so, they also spoke about how well trained, friendly and professional the staff were.
And FYI Delta and IPG are two separate company's, run by two completely different people.
Don't let a few bad experiences that SOME people have had put you off the idea of paintballing all together, if you're thinking of going.
I hope this helps people. :beer:0 -
We have just used an IPG VIP package for paintballing with Delta Force for my son's 11th birthday. I was delighted when I bought the £60 package deal for 10 kids with 100 paintballs each and thought the party was sorted AND cheap! The man selling it explained that the paintballs should be enough 'for the morning' and we would have to purchase for 'for the afternoon'. He didn't explain that there are SIX or so games in a day and the paintballs were enough for ONE game and cost £70 for 1000. With a pizza lunch, we ended up spending £589.09 in all for the day which works out at just under £60 a head for a child's party!!!! And there was me thinking I was spending £60.
Don't get me wrong, the kids had a blast, the two adults even more so and it was a successful party HOWEVER if you are short of cash this would be nothing less than a disaster as you would have to simply cancel the party after one game. I cannot help but view this as a severe case of mis-selling and underhanded tactics, which put a real dampener on what should have been a fun event.0 -
I purchased tickets for paintballing from an ipg agent in my local shopping centre and have just realised how much it will cost me. they took the money out of my account on 23/2 2012 and when i rang they told me it was too late to cancel and to put them on e bay. i wasn't told the real cost of the day as they lady at the end of the phone said about 14 games would be played, with 8 players this would cost me an absolute fortune, so i have lost £61.99, as a grandmother looking after a disabled grandson this is a lot of money, so be warned when you book, look at the hidden charges. It was supposed to be a 15th birthday treat and now i can't afford to treat him. I am so upset.:(:(:(0
