ASDA Online Shopping Queries

Was suppose to have my first delivery today, 1-3pm, nothing by 3:15 so we phoned and they said they'd check for us, an hour later no reply so we phoned again...same response. 6pm we phoned for a third time, again, this time they said it was on it's way and an E-Voucher will be offered.
an hour later still no delivery, we tried to phone up the store it was coming from but there was no answer, so we had to go out and spend money on a meal (well we could have got shopping) to actually eat since we have no food, I have no idea what am going to do tommorow about food now.
They said the food was on it's was since 4...well it's taken them 5 hours to travel about 2 miles, worst of all they haven't even phoned to say there was a problem and the call center people were supposed to ring us back once they had asked the store what the delay was.
I can't order food from elsewhere until this is sorted either...another day starving tommorow.
You can absolutely complain about this, and I know I certainly would.
When you speak to the Call Centre Agent on the phone, they are only allowed up to a certain limit of what they are able to offer you. Ask for a Manager, and they will be able to offer you up to £10 refund+an E-Voucher (I don't know if the limit of that has increased yet or not). If you wish to obtain compensation for more than that, the Call Centre Manager has to obtain authorisation from the store, before they can do that for you.
My suggestion would be to call the Call Centre, speak to a Manager, and request you want our free delivery E-Voucher, and a refund on your shopping also.
Hope this helps0 -
Hi, do you know if /when it will be possible to use a staff discount on Asda home delivery shopping? My oh works for ASDA (not in a store though) but our nearest store is about 20 miles away, i'd love to use the home delivery but feels a bit silly when they won't let us have the staff discount?0

Hi mum26
The reason that the staff discount cards etc cannot be used online, is due to logistical problems. ASDA's claim is that you could hand your card to anyone and they could then use that card online etc...and there would be no real way to check up on it.
So at the time of my leaving, there were no plans to implement the staff discount online, only instore. If ASDA developed their systems slightly better, then plausibly it could be possible, but at this present time, I am afraid that is isn't

Had my first ever delivery off Asda today and ALL my frozen stuff was defrosted. Rang up to complain was told they'd refund it all but i had to push them to replace the food instead. Why would i want a refund instead of food i'd obviously ordered to eat not just to fill the freezer. Was not impressed at all. Not sure where the question is in this post just wanted some justification really.0

I've been online grocery shopping for about 3 years now and before this week I would've wholeheartedly recommended Asda, but I'm quite frankly appalled at how badly they've behaved with regard to my last "delivery".
I booked a delivery slot for 7-9pm on Wednesday. When I had not heard anything by 9pm, I rang their premium rate number and was placed on hold for over 40 minutes. I simultaneously tried to contact Asda online but they've removed all ways of directly emailing them. (I did work out though that you can contact them about online shopping by using the in-store enquiries only link [wouldn't let me post the link here])
I gave up on trying to speak to anyone on Weds night and the delivery never arrived, so I rang on Thursday morning. Was placed on hold for ages but then spoke to a delightful woman in the S African call centre who apologised profusely and said she would speak to the store concerned - Isle of Dogs Asda. She rang me back and said that someone from the store would be ringing me on Thursday.
Lo and behold no one rang on Thursday, but I did get an email from Asda (after using the link mentioned above) which I then responded to explaining the situation. I then got another email on Friday apologising, offering me free delivery next time (although the voucher was not attached!) and saying that someone called Sultan would ring me from the store after 5pm on Friday.
It's now Saturday afternoon, no one has rung me, I wasn't able to get a proper delivery of food for a dinner party I'm hosting tonight and I just feel totally dicked around by Asda.
I've resorted to posting on here and will let you know what the eventual outcome is...
PS I've never had probs when getting deliveries from Tesco or Waitrose!0 -
Hi all, I must say I have used Asda online shopping many times and they are always great. There is always a very nice driver different people and whether they are male or female, really polite and helpful. The driver always rings to say they are on their way, or if they are going to be 5 or 10 minutes late, and I have never once had a bad experience from them. I am very happy to shop online with Asda.Do a little kindness every day.;)0

Horrible service.
Eventually had to phone up and cancel from asda, despite my order status as 'Delivered', quite funny since I had no delivery to speak of so god knows who updated that!
Used tesco and they delivered 12 hours later, exactly on time.0 -
I have used Asda for a LONG time, and still the service hasn't improved.
Eight times out of ten, I have had items missing from my order. I phone Asda and try and make someone from god only knows where, understand me. My name is Tracy, yet the lady I complained to last time, insisted on calling me Nicola!! Obviously, she wasn't listening to me!!! Or does she just not understand me??!!
Yes, I'm always refunding with the items I am missing, but i still have ring Asda, it isn't free!!
I ALWAYS search online for a free delivery code. I would NEVER EVER pay for this service, how they can charge for it, I have no idea!
I can't even believe I'm saying this, but Tesco seems very appealing atm!!0
