Hi jennie this is very strange, i assume you went bankrupt after 6th april, if so the OR should be applying a NTIPA. It would seem the OR is in the wrong

wow - im amazed that your even considering keeping it. :eek:Not on moral grounds but the hassle it will cause if you do spend it then they come asking for it. thats effectively putting yourself back in debt to someone.

If theres one thing that ive learned from my bankruptcy - im never going to owe anyone anything for the rest of my life.

write a check - send it recorded delivery to thier collections department.

then you can forget about it. thats what i would do. save yourself the hassle. have a beer, enjoy the silence!

Firstly it's there responcibility to tell me how they want me to give them the money, so far they haven't, 2ndly as a bankrupt I'm not allowed a cheque book and 3rdly why should I have to chase them, they are being paid to handle my bankruptcy and if they !!!! it up it's their fault - the money is perfectly safe, it's not going anywhere unless they ask for it. And if by any stroke of luck it's been over looked then I'm keeping it.

and still i wait, have filled in forms have sent in payslips to Moon beaver and still they have not asked for the money, good job i am stashing it or they would be forcing me into debt as if i leave stuff in my account it would get spent. I live on very tight budget and there is no excess to be had, this is a stupid system.

Nope! there are several reasons for a Nil Tax Code ie: overpayment of tax. Her Maj's tax bod certainly won't tell them why you have it and give short thrift to all that ask, data protection and all that.

There was a tale of a tax bod telling an employer who asked "because we said so!"
