Hi.....I might just try the diving onj the Big Island...thanks.

We are staying at the Reosrtquest Waikiki Beach..... Hotels don't seem up to much in Waikiki...unless you are really paying OTT prices.

Was thinking of hiring a car and trying out the North side of the island to see what its like???

Dave and Busters ??? Looks like it could be fun....i'm up for that :j:j:j

I didn't realise the aston hotel had changed its name.....you have picked the perfect location there.
    spending money.....difficult one.
It can be expensive if you buy in the tourist traps but there are great places to eat and drink cheaply..just look where the locals go.
we also used the entertainment book
    http://hawaii.entertainment.com/discount/browse.shtml
which had good discounts in it.
as we went in Oct/Nov it was off season and there were probably more special offers available, but the credit crunch probably means its canny year round now.
check out chowhound for great places to eat
    http://chowhound.chow.com/boards
loads of places have happy hours or dining specials on but if you want to fine dine every night you can rack up a large credit card bill.
If you like shopping you may find it hard to resist some of the great offers you find.

Don't spend all your time on Waikikii - get a trip to the outer islands - that is where the REAL hawaii is! :) x

Look out for small magazines with discount vouchers for restaurants, all of the Japanese tourists have them and save loads at the best restaurants. Probably worth asking at your hotel.
Have a good time, it is great there.

That statement is incredibly insulting to all the islanders who call Oahu home.
Oahu is an incredibly beautiful island, full of culture and history.
I agree that whoever was responsible for city planning In Waikiki in the 60s should be shot, but Waikiki can be a lot of fun and Waikiki beach is iconic.
we loved our time spent on Oahu.
