I have a contract with Vodafone (that I use) and a contract with Orange (that my mum uses) that I pay for.

Problem is I want the HTC Hero on the orange contract with my Vodafone number (as orange are giving a much better retention deal at the moment), but I can't lose my mums orange number either.

Could I swap numbers/PAC codes between the two accounts so that my mums number is transferred to the Vodafone account, and my Vodafone number to the orange account? Seeing as though payment details are not going to change on either account, would this not be possible?

can't see them allowing a straight swap but you may be able to do it by ending your contract by making it PAYG thus temp parking the number there while you take out a new contract

Don't know about the orange phone but you can contact vodafone and the Network Unlock Code for that mobile.

Hi Fork86,

As JimArnold has said I'm afraid we wouldn't be able to arrange for the numbers to be 'exchanged' between the two accounts.

The only way around this that I can think of (if your mind is made up on the Hero) would be to check with Orange to see if their contract phones are locked and if they aren't you could upgrade your Orange account and use the Hero with your Vodafone SIM in it.

Question for Vodafone rep. My daughter's vvodafone contract finishes 8th August. I have a vodafone monthly contract. Can she transfer her number to my account to replace the one I have? I can't cancel my contract.
