If you look at the timetable (as opposed to trying to book) it's still listed

That's right, but I've never seen it happen that all bookable dates don't show more than 2 slots (I also wouldn't be shocked if Megatrains just never updated their online timetables).

Anyone know? If not I'll post back once I hear from them.

The East Coast site has been stuck showing "booking up to 10th September" for about a fortnight now, even though I have just found Advance tickets available up to Sept 18th.

Just thought I'd mention it in case anyone is not bothering to check beyond the front page. I think someone forgot to change that bit of the website.
    :D I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe :D

Further to above ^ it is now reading "booking up to Friday 17th September with the exception of 11th & 12th September". I booked a ticket a few days ago for 11th, and can currently see tickets for 18th available. Hope they honour my booking as I haven't collected the ticket yet.

Don't know what they are playing at with their confusing messages :(.

    It's a Sunday
Engineering work (if any) hasn't been finalised so schedules are provisional
Therefore the cheap tickets have yet to be released.

An Off Peak Single on Grand Central Trains to Sunderland is available at £40 on three trains.

But that will be available on the day, so may still be worthwhile waiting a bit... as I said on one of your other threads on this subject. ;)

    Hi

I live in York and work in Leeds. Sometimes I get the train, sometimes I get a lift with a friend (car share is cheaper than a period seasonticket!), so when I do get the train I have to get a day return. Normally (including yesterday) it is £12 for an anytime return. Today I booked it and it was £8.80. I checked 3 times I had the correct ticket and even checked online today. It definitely is now cheaper.

    Anyone know why this is?

    Thanks

I've just worked out the answer to the above question!!
It's because I use a 16-25 railcard and in July and August you don't have to pay a mimimum fare for peak time travel!

Anyway, useful to know for travel this and next month!!

I don't think so, every date I've checked (and I checked around 20 throughout the available dates, including the most recently released) only shows exactly the same two slots, whereas there used to be several more (including the 11:28). Does anyone know for sure?

I guess the only way to tell is to get up early.

Well they still haven't replied, so I set the alarm for 5am and sure enough, those are the only two slots available (12:28 & 19:28). Considering that for the last few years they had about 7, that's really disappointing.

Hopefully this is just for the summer, as I could really use them in September. Anyone know?

Hi Guys, Any suggestions to get from Fareham (Hants) to Ware (Herts) on Sat Jul 28, returning Sun Jul 29th?

Any split ticketing suggestions would be welcome.....
