When is the best time to book?
I want to book return fares for 4 adults going to London from Leicester on Sunday 11th Nov am returning on Tuesday 13th Nov pm. So far cheapest is over £200.
Any idea on forthcoming deals with Midland Mainline?0 -
you can get a 4 sight ticket up to 7 days in advance, for £48 for the 4 of you, or book as singles rather than a return for £6 each, same price really!Membre Of Teh Misspleing Culb0

They to tend divert off track to stop at random places and some services take twice as long as national express. They're terribly uncomfortable too.
I'd personally rather pay a bit more for the train and retain my sanity!lol.
Well we take the megabus every couple of months from Manchester to London. It takes 4 1/2hours, and is £1 each way each, whereas the cheapest fares on National Express are £10.50 and it takes a min of 6 hours.
I'm personally waiting for the day when megatrain do manc-london services! :rotfl:Monthly Food Budget: out of the window0 -

1 adult, with a Young Persons Railcard Travelling on Sunday September 17 morning (arriving no later than 2pm) from London to Manchester.
I am then returning on the same day September 17 evening (departing no earlier than 8pm) from Manchester to London.
Don't mind travelling by train or coach. However coach does take extremely long so train will be much preferred!
I am having a very hard time finding cheap fares for this route, so all and any help will be much appreciated! The cheapest I can do now is London to Manchester by Megabus (£4) and the return leg by Train for £35.50!!!!!
The last time I booked this trip I used a scotrail half price link...is there any similar link available now? Or are there are promotional codes for virgin or the trainline? I am aware that Quidco offers 30p cashback for Nat Express and 1% off £25 tickets at the trainline...but still I am finding the price for the return leg too expensive!
Thanks :-)
National rail site showing saver returns at £37:70 for your trip with a yp railcard which isnt the cheapest but at least you would save sitting on the bus up there.0 -

I wondered what that 4 sight ticket was. It was coming up but not allowing me to chose it. So it is only available 7 days in advance? Is it limited?0 -
any chance anyone can help me with this ....
I have an anual zone 2 Season Ticket... and often need a monthly season to reading...
If I travel off peak, a day return costs me 8.50 (with all the discout)
this ticket is "zone 2 boundry" to Reading return..
I can't get this ticket as a weekly/monthly return, why not ???

Huddersfield-Manchester £5:40 then Manchester-MK for £8:25 both fares are singles with yp railcard.
You might get a better deal from Hudd-Man from HERE using the half price student deal, the prices shown on the page are returns. Hudd-Man £6:60 return using the link0
