Hi
I am looking for the cheapest tickets for 2 adults from:
Stansted Airport to Huntingdon via Peterborough
Departing 25th March 2009 - after 6pm from stansted
and Departing Huntingdon on the 28th March 2009 around 11am.
any help appreciated, tickets would have to be collectable from stansted or printable as we are flying from ireland to see relatives.
tks

Cheapest on the walk up fare is £28.40 each thats:-
Off Peak Return Stansted - Peterborough £18.80 each (Rtn within a month)
Then a single at £4.80 each Peterborough - Huntingdon
And another single on way back Huntingdon to Peterborough (£4.80)
Cant find any advanced tickets for that date.
That give you a
18:21 Stansted to Peterboro arr 19:50
20:16 Peterboro to Huntingdon arr 20:31
and
10:47 Huntingdon to Peterboro arr 11:04
11:18 Peterboro to Stansted 12:45
And pre-purchased tickets can be collected from the fast ticket machine at stansted but the tickets outlined above can be bought on the day anyway on arrival at stansted0 -
Right! it's been a while since I came back here, but since you've been so useful in the past, it's time to ask for your help again!!
Eastleigh to Durham, departing Monday 23rd March (anytime after 7am), returning Tuesday 24th March (after 2/3pm) - the cheapest fare I have found so far is £50.20 return using the National Express East Coast website (standard advance singles at £25.10 each), is it possible to get it any cheaper?
I have a 16-25 Railcard which I used to get that fare, but the fare is the same with no railcard if you're using the special discount they have running at the moment, since that also gives 1/3rd off rail fares.... I'm not expecting miracles, but any saving, if it were possible, would be appreciated!!!
Cheers everyone

I understand it only works if you link direct from their promotional e-mail
Edit - I'll rephrase that. The offer is only available to those who have actually received the e-mail from National Express, not to the general public.0 -
Has anyone managed to make this offer work? I'm trying to book a ticket and keep putting in the LOVE09 code in the relevant box but it is not altering the ticket price. Even continuing to the payment page it still shows the full price, so I haven't been able to click on Buy. I've used their "contact us" email facility but don't suppose I will get a reply before the promo ends on Monday.
I wonder if I am doing something wrong. Would love to know if anyone else has succeeded, and if so did the price change when you clicked on "Confirm" after entering the code?I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe

It does work... I've tried a trip from London to York on 1st May without the code and got a £12.50 cheapest fare, and then entering the code it goes down to £8.25, which is a third off the original price.0

Did the fare change when you entered the code and clicked "confirm"? It won't work for me. I was beginning to wonder whether only the journeys in the email were valid for the offer, but London to York isn't one so it must mean anywhere, presumably

I'm wondering now whether my journey (Hereford to Southport) doesn't count as it is not on the East Coast line, but National Express just act as booking agents for them.
Or maybe because I am only booking a one way journey?
This is driving me potty. I've wasted a whole afternoon on it. Just to save about £3.50 too
