I used a Brother 836 for many years and got quite good with it. All self taught from the book. An 881 passed through hands a couple of years ago and I decided it wasn't for me, looked too complicated. I think the 836 is a really good basic, but not too basic machine.

Hi all, i have a brother knitting machine KH836 which i brought new in the 1980’s. i remember i knitted one jumper and then life took over and it has been in the attic since then.

So now dh1 is grown up and working and dh2 is at university and im at a loose end and i have decided to bring my knitting machine down from the attic and have another go at using it. I have the manual and punchcards that came with but cant for the life of me remember where i get patterns from for a knitting machine? Also does anyone know of any online free tuturials i could follow?
