Not sure if this is just me being a prude, but I was a bit shocked when the Headteacher said something like "I don't usually get to see a bird on her back" when they were stripping the chicken!! :eek:0

I took it as the tongue in cheek comment I'm sure it was meant to be (especially given the family make-up), but have to admit even I was suprised it was left in the footage to be aired.
I did laugh when he said it but I just thought it was a bit risque for early evening viewing - omg I really do sound like a prude now ...0 -
As I am poorly, I've spent the day reading this entire thread and have been well entertained:T. Thanks for the Jackie brownie recipe (sorry, can't remember who posted) threw it together tonight for OH and cooked it in 25mins in my remoska - great sucess.
Will catch up on last episode on iplayer tomorrow. Now the dilemma on whether to get the book...:DI try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -

Oooh i must say i thoroughly enjoyed tonights episode:T:T
Loved the family i thought they were super and how lovely that they showed that a family doesnt justy have to be standard mum and dad etc and need help with food:T:T:T.
The recipes looked nice i do fancy trying the chicken and the escalopes and thai curry it looked yum and also the lemon cream:j:j
But....i couldn't believe the price for that bit off beef and chicken breasts am i right did the butcher say £42 omg lol i know the guy said it was 4 chick breasts for £9 so that made the beef £31 ouch that's a pricey hunk of meat there;). The chicken breasts looked so juicy and meaty though i thought they were a good buy for the price.
I think the star of the show was the cute little girl awww she was adorable:D:D:D:D
Am sad now that it has ended but i think it has left a legacy of sorts and i do think all over the uk it has helped families who are struggling with their budgets....roll on another series perhaps a christmas EG please Allegra and Paul if you are reading. I would adore to learn how to make those expensive luxurious at christmas become EG :beer:0
