Excuses, excuses MrsE! :rolleyes::rotfl:0

I leave for work in the dark & I get home in the dark for about 3 months (at least) of the year, thats a fact.
God knows I couldn't care less if you have one or not, but you gave a reason for not having one. I'm just pointing out that that reason isn't really a reason and offering a simple solution.
Why don't you just say you can't be bothered with a compost bin/ baking bread or whatever it is. If you give reasons why you don't do things like that don't be surprised if people try and help0 -

Kenwood Chef and dough hook? That's how I make mine. I've got a creaky back and kneading dough makes it unhappy.
Whatever way you do it you're still going to have to wash something, btw...even if it's just the bowl.Val.0 -

You can if you have a Green ConeWe were discussing this on the previous page, which is why MrsE refereed to it.

If you work full time its not always possible to be completely OS
Quaint as it sounds to do all that, I need to work & I need to leave early & get home late:rolleyes:
Its through this thread again & again, for hardcore OSers there is only one way, their way.
So many of you on here don't see that different families have different needs & ways of doing things, all of them right for whom ever it suits.
So many sniddy comments about this new programme, its economy GASTRONOMY, not economy shoestring

I work full time, so does OH.
I commute 2.5hours each day (if southern and network rail work), 5 days a week and sometimes I work during the weekends. My working day starts at 7:10am when I get on the train and if I'm good, I get home for 6:30pm.
This year, we've managed to grow enough food to feed us during the summer months, compost everything and not fill the black bin during the fortnightly collection. I'm a hardcore OS and we don't need to be, but we are.
Please don't tar all those who do also work full time with your view of what is only possible.0 -

Sorry to keep banging on about this, but it's something I feel very strongly aboutAs a nation we're producing more and more waste. The easiest way to reduce waste is to compost organics. Atm we're being encouraged to do this. Sooner or later, we'll be forced to do it
so the sooner you start to get over your issues with this, the easier it'll be for you.

I also have no use for compost, but we have a lot of it:rotfl:The great thing about it is that the bin never gets full because things are constantly decomposing.
If I was closer, I'd love to have it. We can never get enough!0 -

It's been lovely to see your comments on this thread. Maybe we can see more of you; this is a far nicer place to hang out than some Boards:beer:

Tempted by that (with the no vermin attraction).
It says it must stand in well drained soil, my garden is a bit boggy (the neighbours gardens flood:eek:), but I have a willow & that soaks a lot up. I wonder would it soak enough up for this too?
I've already emailed them about distance from the house, will let you all know what they say.0 -

As I said, only one way on the OS boards, your way or the highway.
OS is starting to make the arms & DT look friendly:rolleyes:0
