were these people for real? First time I have watched the show and could not believe how much money they were spending a week, big family but surely no-one with a big family in the real world spends that much money?Cross Stitch Challenge Member ?Number 2013 challenge = to complete rest of millenium sampler.0

My other half knows the people in next weeks - he rows with some of them...I am hoping maybe it will 1)give me a reason to make him watch too, 2)make some of it sink in and 3)give me some more things to feed him when he has races and the like to feed up for - I do get tired of pasta, pasta and more pasta!
(he told me when I got in from work that if I watch BBC2 at about 5 to 9 I would see people he knew on some moneysaving cooking show, then looked all suprised when I said 'oh - economy gastronomy?')0 -

hmm not as good as the first two programmes. i sitting glued to the telly cos it was a one veggie -in- a- family that caught my attention but there was that little mentioned on recipes that the one they did show i was a bit unsure of due to it being fried then cheese or something on top. not a huge fan of cheese and frying is a unhealthy way for me. dont do salmon either and it just seemed to be all salmon lol. did give me a wee push to try fishcakes of some kind for the family.
the kiddies werent really complaining of not having their usual goodie stash which makes me wonder if they did really buy all that in their high buying days. those choccie pots, any kid would have them as soon as they were placed in the fridge when you got home from shopping!
there were no dramatic scenes from the father *sighs* really must stop thinking that bbc reality programmes are like wife swap lol0 -

I agree, thats alot of money to spend on food, it's possibly more than alot of people earn in a year.***Dont save what is left after spending, spend what is left after saving***0 -
