I know. It took me until I was 35 to get rid of them
Tough but kind...in the end.

Now she's throwing the baby out with the bathwater, telling me to stop buying her food, that she's been expecting it since I stopped letting her cook for me, that's why she's been cutting down to one meal a day. Blaming me for being nasty and expecting her to eat crap.
Need to get dad on board, I'll speak to him as soon as I can.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -
Now is your chance. Breathe a sigh of relief and tell her that would be great.
End of.

That's it then Ames - stop buying her food altogether and use the extra money for you - she has already said that she is expecting it and please don't let her blackmail you. Anyway there are plenty of alternatives to cereal - toast springs to mind, porridge, muesli, croissants, boiled egg:rotfl: I am sure that with a little imagination she should be able to come up with something.
You wanted the head banging on wall smilie - click on [more] under the smilies that you can see on the right hand side when you reply and you will find loads of smilies there including the one you want.
I once had a friend that would take all the time - if we went out then it was always me that drove so she could have a drink and it was me that had to buy the drinks (she didnt like it when one day I gave her a tonic water without the gin:rotfl:) and if we went out for lunch then I would always pay:mad: It was me that always had to do the chasing, ringing her up to make the arrangements and then one day I thought that she had taken the mick for far too long and wondered what would happen if I didnt make the effort to phone her - well, I am still waiting for her to call me some 13 years later:rotfl: So you can see how little she thought of me - I bet she found another mug to sponge off:rolleyes:0 -
Just a quick question but if your sister does get one of these 18k + jobs is she planning on paying you back for the time you have supported her buying food?
:rolleyes:;):cool::o:rolleyes:;):o:o:cool:

No. In fact, whenever she goes on about her budget post getting a job, she doesn't include anything for food.
She's a bit head in the clouds about money, she applied for one at 35k and thought that within a couple of years she'd be up to 65k and able to buy a quarter of a million pound house.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -
£30 p.w. x 52 weeks = £1560 a year
That would clear your debts in two years.Mortgage start September 2015 £90000 MFiT #060 -
Sounds like she has def got her head in the clouds and that is the thing that needs sorting before she will accept reduced amounts etc

Ames - dont buy her any food - she doesnt budget for it because good old Ames is there to pay for it, if you don't pay for it then she has to think for herself - if she doesnt eat then that's not your problem, trust me she won't starve she will find something to eat. Send her to Aldi - I got a few bits in there today which I had to lug home on the bus (not able to drive at the mo), my shopping which included toilet rolls came to £10.36:D0

Well my sister's just cut me off. Deleted me from facebook, said she doesn't need advice on how to eat on a budget, she can eat on a tenner but it wont be healthy. She's told me to forget about giving her money for food. She's said not to expect any help in the flat or with going to gigs. So I've no idea what's happening with Leeds festival or the holiday to Pontins in December, I'm assuming I'll be persona non gratis with the group of people I was going with.
So I'm going to wait and see if she calms down, and phone dad tonight.
On the house front, I've bought a shelf unit for the kitchen, so I'll have enough room to keep the pans and things somewhere safe instead of stacked up on the cooker. It was from a car boot so cheap, at a fiver. Unforunately I also bought 17 books for about £6, a gorgeous bangle for 20p and a top for £2. Oh, and a jewellery necklace holder thing for 50p, but I'd been looking at jewellery boxes for about £15 so I don't feel too bad about that.
I've also done a fair bit of tidying, so things are getting better there.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0
