Quality, Not Volume = FVF Discount

I see with the new ebay changes that quality of service and not volume of sales is going to be the requirenment for FVF in the future.
Good stuff I say as I currently meet all the criteria.

Sounds good to me also0

Looks good to me too - but I've only given it a quick once over.

A great way for ebay to save money IMO.
It will be easier for a seller to lose their discount because of 2 or 3 low score DSR ratings, whereas before a 1 star rating would simply be diluted amongst the many other higher ratings.
We see people fret when they drop from 4.89 to 4.80 after one rating, but this will not affect their discount. Under the new rules, potentially it will affect the discount.<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -
I know this is my current obsession but I urge people to go and check their expanded seller dashboard. I've got work colleagues checking theirs and most like me have at least one 1 or 2 * lurking in there for the past 30 days despite ecstatic positive feedback being left for them.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. 1 x 1* across the board but all glowing feedback.Terms & Conditions Apply0 -
No 1s and 2s for me this time - she says smugly.

Well I've peeved about the FVF discount available.
At the moment I get 25% discount on my FVFs.
If things changed over today, I'd be a Top Powerseller and get 20% discount on my FVFs
...and this bit I hope I'm reading wrongly
When they do change things over, if my DSRs have dropped and I don't make Top Powerseller, I'll only get 5% - fair enough, but I can still have the 25% I get now, till January to ease me over the transition.
However if I'm a good girl and I make Top Powerseller, I go straight to 20% !
Mind you I'd be even more peeved if I were a Titanium Powerseller, their available discount has gone down from 40% to 30% and that makes my monthly £5-10 price hike look like peanuts0 -
Seems like they have made the FVF discounts harder to achieve and with the benefit of lower percentage discounts.
I reckon eBay see this as an easy way to increase its overall fees under the guise of encouraging better seller performance. So the message reads 'Do better than you have ever done before and we will reward you with higher fees????' A very strange business model.
I cant see the large retailers eBay have recently courted meeting even the minimum standards in some cases. Wonder if the likes of Littlewoods Clearance will be kicked off under the new rules or are we going to see some 'flexibility'0 -
'Fraid I'm cynical on this one too. eBay puts up its fees under the guise of "customer focus". :rolleyes:They deem him their worst enemy who tells them the truth. -- Plato0

The top end dip out, that's for sure.
Typical ebay business plan of encouraging high volume business sellers and then whack them by taking away their benefits.
As a silver PS it makes naff all difference.Terms & Conditions Apply0
