Help needed - best network

Hi Guys

Was wondering if you can give me some advice on mobile phones.

I'm not bothered in the slightest about having a trendy phone, just having a phone that works well is my only priority.

I'm currently with Virgin, i pay $10.00 a month for 100 mins/100 texts and i got a free samsung phone. My contract is coming to an end in August and i'm not sure what to do now? My signal on Virgin isn't always very good and sometimes my text messages take about 1 hour to get to the person i'm sending it to? This is really frustrating! What im looking for is a package which gives me around 200 texts (always going over on my Virgin package!) and around 100 mins. I don't really want to pay more than $15.00 a month.

Thanks for your help!

3 do 75mins + unlimited texts for £10 a month with a free sony G502 or K660i or you can take a 6 month contract with a free Nokia 6120 on Mix&Match 300 (so you can split 300 however you want between mins and texts) for £15 a month

Thanks for the advice! What are 3 like for network coverage, must admit i've not heard very good things about them! Ideally i would like to keep paying a tenner a month as i really don't need loads of minutes, i only use about 40 minutes a month at the moment. Does sound like a good deal for me though (the 75 mins + unlimited texts) just depends what the network is like.

    Thanks.

Network coverage is different all over the uk. Your best bet would be to get one of their free sims to test what its like where you live.
3 has the largest 3g network then piggybacks or orange where they dont cover with 3g.
so unless you live in a hole miles from civilisation you will get a signal.

Thanks for that, i don't live in a hole miles from civilisation, but i have never had a good signal in my house (have previously been with Tesco mobile, and T-Mobile). Virgin seems to have been the worst though. How do i get a free sim?

    Thanks.
