Just give your child all the love, care ,affection, best life experience and education you can manage. dont badge him/her or make them speshul..

Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..

Au contraire...there is a body of opinion which does indeed believe that Autism has become a very modern epidemic.

My comments were, i believe ,quite valid, relevant and above all point to behaviours which would benefit any young child.

You forgot to mention my impressive thank you rate.

My ds is 19 and has ASD and tourettes and some additional language difficulties ( not swearing - more literal interpretation of language)

he has just got his 1st job !!!!!!
PLEASE don't give up on your daughter- reading your story took me right back - just like pp Munchie!
I would like to say - see if your local Child and Adolescent Mental health service has any services or facilities for supporting you and your daughter

we had fantastic help from ours - they held weekly "social" groups for the kids - sort of a youth club- but with subtle help for them about appropriate behaviour etc
they completed DLA forms for everyone - year after year - their final help for me afte son was discharged ( he was too old!) was to write me a letter for the DWP saying DS's condition was unlikely to ever change- and we had our DLA awarded for an indefinite period ( sort of like a life time award)

and the sheer delight of meeting other parents to whom I didn't have to explains sons behaviour was blissful !!!!!!!!!!!

it may be that your CAMHS doesn't offer this service- if not PUSH them to !
our service is in Coventry where I live and I cannot praise them highly enough for helping me keep my sanity - tell your CAMHS to come to Coventry and look at the model we have here and set one up - get campaigning !!

PUSH for a statement of Special Educational Needs - it is hard to do- but well worth it as the help is then in a legally binding document and the school MUST provide it for your dd

try and see if the NAS can support you with this - but don't give up - there are lots of us here who are blessed with kids with ASD and we can TRY to help eachother through the maze

both of my children are special - for differing reasons - I want my children to be special, because they are both unique, brilliant, clever, funny, handsome, fabulous people................

oddly enough they both also have a disability.........
and I can tell you that ALL the love, care, affection and best of life experiences can't make my sons paralysed arm work, nor can it make my sons ASD disappear.......I should know, I've prayed long and hard enough.

perhaps if your parents had done the same you would be more thoughtful and less judgmental of other people and their children

If you read it ,I clearly state what I and most people would think is what is best for any child.

Good thing I'm not the sensitive type...
