Non paying bidder dispute help please

I started a dispute for an item not paid for - (had sent original invoice at end of auction and a reminder 5 days after stating if she no longer wanted the item could she let me know otherwise if payment not received I would start a dispute)
Seller responded same day stating she was waiting for paypal funds to clear.
I responded stating that she had not advised me of this prior to me having to start the dispute, that payment was expected within 7 days of auction end and that I noted that she had purchased and paid for several other items since winning my auction (she had left feedback indicating she had received so therefore paid for).
Day 5 of the dispute I had email from pp stating I had received an e-cheque that will clear on 9th August - no message from buyer, no email, no reply via dispute centre.
I sent email to advise courier would not be booked until the payment had cleared - this being 9th august.
Know I'm stuck - as she has not responded the second time to my dispute, it is showing she has not corresponded (when I suppose in theory she hasn't) - therefore I think the dispute would end and she would get a strike and I would get FVF back - but I don't want to close the dispute myself incase she cancels the e-cheque and I then wouldn't be able to open another - never been in this position before - I'm really hacked off that from winning the auction to the payment clearing it will be 23 days tbh but I don't know what to do about this dispute now.
Any advise greatly received. TIA

I thought you could close it and get FVF after their 1st response? Can you not wait for the e-cheque to clear? I know its hassle but at least the item is sold, you get payment. Save having to relist it all over again.0

Leave the dispute open until the 9th August if you can (the date the echeque should clear)
If it clears, send the item (and close dispute if necessary).
If it fails to clear, raise dispute to claim.
Be aware of paypal dispute timeframes and ensure dispute is raised to claim, if necessary, before it times out and closes automatically."Now to trolling as a concept. .... I'm happy to wait (well not happy lol) until the e-cheque has cleared - what I am worried about is that if the dispute stays open it will show that she has not paid and will close automatically and therefore give her a NPB strike - but on the other hand, if I close the dispute and she cancels the e-cheque then I won't be able to claim my fees back as won't be able to open up another dispute.0

Nothing will happen until you raise the dispute to a claim.
Don't do that until you see the echeque is not honoured (just make sure you don't lose out by the dispute timing out and closing automatically)"Now to trolling as a concept. .... ok, just hope it doesnt close and she gets a NPB strike when in theory she has paid - don't really want to get a neg due to redtape!
Thanks for your advice.0 -
An echeque though is a paypal payment so even if you do close the dispute assuming the echeque clears she can appeal and get the strike removed.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Thanks Soo - thats what I was wanting to hear, that if they do strike her whilst its waiting to clear that it can be removed - I have a funny feeling about her though and think she is just going to neg me if she gets a strike.0

Hi, just wondering - if buyer fails to pay and you open a case and close it after 7/8 days thus striking the buyer, can they still leave you a negative?Friend Debt: 5,000/3,850

If you can close the dispute after 8 days and the buyer hasn't officially responded then they can't leave any feedback.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Buyer has responded with the following:-
i don't need the product anymore
i am very sorry !! Buyer has only 1 feedback so not a regular ebay user. Case is still open, will wait another week before closing it.Friend Debt: 5,000/3,850
