on a good note though the woman was entertained by baby so it wasnt as horrendous as it could have been, suspiciuosly the womans boyfriend at the window ignored her the whole flight though:eek::rotfl:

Is this off topic?
If you are an overly large person travelling on a low cost air carrier you need to think that the person in the adjacent seat has paid good money and should be entitled to the comfort they expected of their flight.0 -
Depending on where she is most "generous" it may be uncomfortable for your friend to have the table thingy down. Also as noted in previous posts it's uncomfortable for the person sitting next to a larger person, so perhaps your friend could find an aisle seat. I hate easyjet for this reason - even as a size 18 I will still a bit embarrassed to find the seat such a squeeze.0

:DYes she will fit....:D0

my mum is a size 22/24 and she hates flying easyjet because it squashes her bum and legs so badly. she does fit in the seat but it wont be very comfortable. It only takes a second to say 'Thanks, you just saved me a few quid!'

It didnt go off topic.
The OP originally asked if 'She would have enough space'?
People answered in various ways but the fact is she probably wont. To this end, the people either side of her wont wother.
The 'Ninja Editting' of the thread wasnt good either.
People tried to point out (and only once rudely), that someone as overweight as that, makes it very uncormfortable for other passengers, in particualr the people that are unlucky enough to have to share the seats either side.
When that size, the person should have to buy two seats, not just for their comfort, but for other passengers aswell.
Why should i buy a seat and have in encroached upon by someone that is too big to fit into theirs?
That isnt being nasty.......thats what it is like.thisuseridistakenagain wrote: »my mum is a size 22/24 and she hates flying easyjet because it squashes her bum and legs so badly. she does fit in the seat but it wont be very comfortable.
But that isnt because the seat is too small is it? I dont know what 22/24 is in inches, but i know it is big enough for her to feel uncomfortable and also use some of the space next to her.0 -
I can't see how the posts went off topic yesterday. We were all talking about large people and fitting on flights. The answers may not have all been 'Don't worry OP, Your friend can just take up a bit more of the persons seat next to them, they won't mind'. But they were still on topic. This is my signature. There are many like it, but this one is mine.0

Agree with Gaz / Woody, just because the answer is not all roses does not mean it is off topic. I did not see it yesterday so can only go on what is left after the cull but I dont see anything actually offensive just dealing with the actual question.
remember if you only want one answer maybe a discussion board is not the place to ask the question.
Its back to the age old question every man dreads "does my bum look big in this" - do you want the answer or do you want a lie so you feel good.Totally Debt Free & Mortgage Free Semi retired and happy0 -
In the event of sitting next to a very large person, if they really are encroaching onto your eat it can be worth asking if there any spare seats elsewhere. Needless to say, doing it subtley! If not then a complaint letter may get you some vouchers. And if, you know, your history...0

Haha, freudian slip there, missing the s. If they try and steal your food that's a different matter. And if, you know, your history...0
