i have had many a bargain on ebay but i would say my best was a transformer (not the toy) i bought it as used and described as being 3 years old and been used on site so has obvious marks and scratches but works fine. i paid £45 including £15 delivery (they are heavy) and when it arrived it looked like new and i still use it today 3 years later.

    They retail new at £120.

given the fact this is something i use almost daily in my profession and it will no doubt last for many more years to come i'd pretty much say this was my best ebay bargain in terms of cheap price and years useage for my money.

    Woo!
Just made a great bargain, a Lego star wars set, (Y-Wing, 7658) which retails for £39.99 in shops, and cheapest that went on ebay was for £19 and £5. I got it for £6 and £4.50 postage. Great for my son, and I'm really happy as it was a set he wanted anyway, boxed with instructions and only put together once :D

I am hooked on e.bay, but have to say that I have resisted temptation for a while now, but some of the things I buy, and have got have been of excellent quality, I have my regular people whom I buy from, and have never had any problems:

Levi Jeans (Why pay £50+, when you can buy for about £3.99 and let some one else do the hard work of ageing them) Always been as new, and excellent condition.
    Diesel Jeans
    DKNY Jeans
    French Connection Jeans
T-Shirts-Ideal for hols and The Gym.
Trackies and 3/4 length Trackies and Shorts (All top names, and as new) Perfect for going on hols etc.
Bucky The Singing Reindeer (From The USA) cost me more in UK taxes to bring it over,-was a Christmas Present for family member.
Signed Pictures (You have to take your chances on this one)
    Cups
    A CD Clock

Did bid stupid once for a Vivienne Westwood lips t-shirt, but in the end the auction just went silly, and decided a new one would have cost less, so was outbid, and ended up getting one at Vivienne Westwood Leeds.

Would not trust fragrances so much, ie those from Jo Malone, you don't know how they have been kept, and how old they are, may smell rank when you spray them, not nice!!

Bought a second hand flashgun for my SLR camera for £40 (at jessops, and I was then getting staff rate) - rrp £129. A year or so later I was skint so put it on ebay, it sold for £180! The guy who bought it had sent me loads of stupid questions that just made me think 'google it yourself you lazy ****', but doing the research and answering the questions paid off!

7 x-files dvd boxsets for £10 including about a fiver postage - very poorly listed with tiny photo. I only wanted 3 to finish my own collection, so sold the rest on for a total of about £35. - So I made £25 and 3 dvd boxsets :D

The moral of this is that good descriptions are EVERYTHING on ebay.
