Hi All,
I need your money saving advice please
I have a small family and im looking purchasing a saloon car. Im not interested in a small hatchback as I have had them in the past and would
really like a saloon or similar.
My budget is around £8k but I would go up to £10k max. I have been considering an Audi A4 o A6. The reviews for second hand Audi A4 and A6 have been good on whatcar
I have found some reasonably prices Audis on carmony
Does anyone have a second hand A4 or A6? How are they to drive, maintain, running costs etc? Do you have suggestions to alternatives in that range?
I've also been looking for cheap car loans or 0% introductory offers. If anyone has seen anything please do let me know
Thanks
SB

personally i would prefer a newer skoda octavia or superb with lower miles than an older audi with higher miles for that money.
or a vw passat,or a mondeo....work permit granted!0 -
Superb allegedly has more rear leg room than the passat it is based on. Depreciation on the superb is quite high so you'll get alot more for your money.0

Only thing about that particular one is I've read bad things about the v6 over on https://www.briskoda.net Suspect it would be fun to drive thoughgoldspanners wrote: »it doesnt half, look at the picture of the rear seats in this!

And the parts would be cheaper - even though they could be the same as the Audi.... :rolleyes:Genie

Looks very nice and roomy! As long as the OP doesn't have a 'badge' phobia, think that it would be a far better choice than the Audi any day.goldspanners wrote: »it doesnt half, look at the picture of the rear seats in this!Genie

Im on my 3rd Skoda Octavia and have to say Ive NEVER had a problem, just had the cambelt done on my 53 plate elegance, done 43K miles and the build quality is as good as any VW or Audi.
Take a look at how many taxi's are Octavias , they choose them because there is plenty of room for luggage, reasonable maintenance costs and re-sale values are not bad..............lastly if you go for one go for a diesel, mine is 1.9 TDI elegance and its doing 58 mpg ,summer months can return 68mpg...
