    Is just me or is the Next Sale going on forever. Normally it's all over with in 2 or 3 days but I went today and the majority of the store is jammed pack with sale items. I found 10 things I wanted to try on and bought 3. Can't remember this happening so long after the start of the sale.

    There were a particularly high number of household items available too.

    Is everyone fed up with shopping?

    They've just invoiced me for the Directory over a month after sending it. Can I just send it back so I don't have to pay the £3.50?!

    I got an invoice, I ignored it. I expect I'll get charged if I ever order anything. I doubt they'll set the debt collectors on me for £3.50.

    Argggggggghhh.

    I rang today to place an order for 5 items which I totalled up to £81.45.

    A shorten transcript of my order:

    Me: product number 123 456 x78
    Call Centre: Thank you very much, next product. Repeated 5 times for each item.

    Call centre: Thank you very much your order totals £102.35.
    Me: Sorry there is some mistake it should only comes to £81.45.
    Call centre: I can't check now your order has gone through, please call when you get your order.
    Me: No I am not authorising the order please confirm the items and prices
    Call centre: The prices on the website/catalogue may be wrong
    Me: So I want to know which ones
    Call centre: I can't check now your order has gone through, please call later.
    Me: No - I want to sort it now
    Call centre: I can't check now your order has gone through, please call later.
    Me: I am cancelling my order then
    Call centre: I can't check now your order has gone through, please call later.
    Me: I am not happy I wish to cancel the order if you cannot clarify the prices
    Call centre: I can't check now your order has gone through, please call later.
    Me: Can I speak to your manager please NOW
    Call centre: I will put you through to customer service.

    I then had to repeat the problem to Customer Service - thankfully not based in Indian call centre.

    Customer Service: Sorry, she should have called back a description of every item you ordered before processing to ensure the correct number was noted. Unfortunately now the order is in the system there is nothing we can do till after 6pm. Please call back.

    6.15pm

    Customer Service: Ok have you got all the item numbers you ordered.
    Me: Yes and I reel them off
    Customer Service: Ok instead of a skirt the numbers have been mixed up and you have a kettle coming. We can't stop the kettle (it must be full steam ahead:rolleyes: ) and we can't add the skirt to that order. What I can do is place a new order for the skirt and not charge you delivery. When the kettle arrives please ring us and arrange collection.
    Me: Couldn't I just refuse to take delivery of it.
    Customer Service: No

    I gave in and went and had a nice glass of wine. :mad:
