As I non customer I thought I'd take a look at their site to see if there was anything in the forthcomeing sale to tempt me.

What point is there in having a website displaying an enormous listing of catalogue page numbers and codes -but NO pictures of the items?

i agree it is pretty ridiculous, not everyone as a catalogue to refer to, so no idea what stuff looks like, i prefer to see what im buying so unless pics appear, i wont be placing an order >:( :P

Also on non sale site you can't search by putting in the words "skirt".

If register on the site or place an order they automatically send you a directory and charge you £3.50. I have to email them after every order to say NO I DON'T WANT A CATALOGUE thank you!

I do have a catalogue and spent an hour last night going thru what I wanted to order off sale list today. Have just spent another hour attempting to place an order - most of items out of stock anyway - but did manage to find a few bargains. Then just as I was about to complete the process an error occurred and I've lost the lot >:(

Can't get back into the website now, just get page not responding >:(

Am totally pee'd off with it and am now going to attack the choccies, yes I know it's only 9.30am but I need chocolate!

  • Presumably the site is aimed at existing customers who already have a copy of the next directory and therefore know what the items look like. If you want to seen them for yourself go to your local store!

What about housebound people, disabled or those who dont live local to a store? >:(
  • They might well have the next catalogue then if they are housebound ;) and can view the items in it
    Nice to save.

I think it would be just as easy for Next to archive off their old catalogue so you can view the items online.

I think catalogues are enviromentally unfriendly. I regularly order from Next on line but always, always have to email them to stay do not send a catalogue. I have asked time and time again for them to make a note on my account that I don't wish to have one. Seems they are incapable of doing this!

Also why should you have to pay £3.50 everytime? Their reason is that it stops people ordering catalogues that they don't use. They should have a recycling sevice available for them. Either collect them with returns/delivery or instore.

I agree with Poppy. It always annoys me to pay £3.50 for the catalogue and when I do go to the shop nearest to us there is no changing room.

Now only get stuff in the sale for my 10 year old as I can hold stuff against her for fitting.

My husband did the Next sale for me and he said a couple of women were trying on the stuff in the shop :o

    He was there a while ;D ;)
