    Di.

Sorry not to come back for a few days. Have been away on biz. Just a query, if I did take this to the adjudicator or ombudsman, do I lose the bank retain the right to withdraw the offer now that one has been made by them?

    Hi All.

Jus want to report that yesterday, I received further correspondece from MBNA and can report that they have settled with a full refund of all PPI payments + 8% interest. They initially offered a 50% refund as a 'gesture of goodwill', but after considering the options, I wrote back advising that I still felt certain that they had mis-sold the policy to me and that if they weren't able to review their offer I would take the matter to the FOS. I must say that when I was opening the envelope yesterday I was shaking with nerves. What if they had withdrawn their previous offer, held firm the previous offer etc?!

Instead, I was so happy with the news that they would be refunding more £5500!!!:j

So, to anyone that is reading this and is uncertain if they should go ahead and try a reclaim, I would say go for it! I hope that my experiences that I have posted on this thread are of real benefit to someone out there. Finally, I want to say a huge thankyou to DI3004. Without your help Di I would have floundered. You're a real assest to this board and your supporty to me has been unfailing. Thanks a lot and Merry Christmas to you and yours and to all other members of this great site.
