Do you have a list of the new price drop items? I have asked in my local stores if they would let me see their lists but they wouldn't let me, boo hoo. I am keeping lots of my games for christmas presents but might try blockbusters then. They do the game exchange in my local store, i'm not sure if it's a game station though?? Thanks BargainDave0

BargainDave wrote:Just wanted to let people know that whilst you should avoid Game, unless they have that geat 4 game trade in deal again. Do not avoid Gamestation! Blockbuster, at least in teh entire south anyway, actually have Gamestation outlets inside them, and that is where you are trading in. The prices quoted, are the same in the high street Gamestation.
I know as that is where a lot of my games have gone, and for trading in around 40 games so far I have well over £150 of credit! So think about it.....it's the best way to go.
As for how poor Game have gotten lately, here's an example. I took 13 gaems into Game mix of xbox and ps2. Game offered me £26 trade, adn £16 cash. Went with same games down the road to gamestation and was offered £30 for cash, and £50 for trade. Now thats what I call value for money. £6.50 worth of games bought in dixons traded for £50 credit note!
I also sold a bunch via my local Friday Ad paper at £10 a pop! Ignore ebay for now, it is a bit swamped but it will settle down again......either that are speak to freinds, family or get a bit active with what you do with em once you got em.
As for the question someone else raised about stock levels, yes they are getting lower, but only yesterday (friday) i managed to pick up another 10 games!
On another positive note, there have been some new price drops, and there is now a selection of games at 97p! Sonic Advance 3 on GBA anyone for a quid, bargain.
This site is named " moneysaving "
It seems to be more about ebay and moneymaking.
Probably a lot of "kids" whose pocketmoney would have gone far on this deal who have missed out to adults buying them simply to sell on ebay.
There is a distinct lack of Carin n Sharin on MSE.0 -
Just to let people know there is nothing left in the cambridge stores, they openly said the managers had first pick!0

I feel that by buying these games at a really reduced price and then either exchanging them or selling them I will be able to buy chart games as presents for christmas. I don't think its anyone place to be critical of others choices on here. Most of these games were not priced at 47p and we have had to take on large searches to get them. I think we deserve them.0 -
To PurplegirlUK1
Cheers for the back up PurplegirlUK1  , and sorry but no list of the 97p games yet....and not sure if I will be able to get one.
To DaDaDa,
I don't intend for this to escalate into an argument, but felt that I would address your comments that you made, whilst quoting my earlier post. This is to answer your points, and show others my views.
I agree this site is about moneysaving, and that can be looked at a few ways. One being able to grab a bargain in a store and cherish that item for a long time. Or by generating money to purchase more important, or better items. For example Purplegirl makes the clear point she will be able to afford Chart Toppers thanks to grabbing a few of these items. As for me I will be able to enjoy the new XBOX360 without having to shell out as much cash when it arrives. SO both me and Purplegirl will save money.
For kids pocket money, yep can't argue it would of been great to see kids out there picking up some of these titles and enjoying them....but it didnt happen. As u stated in an earlier post yourself, you felt it weren't worth looking for games, as it had been around to long, and that you had been several places yourself. Plus many of the games are not 'COOL' enough for em anyway.
"There is a distinct lack of Carin n Sharin on MSE." Being a fairly recent memebr to this site, i think that is totally wrong, and in connection with this particular topic, I was the person that provided a complete list of titles with products codes, don't think I could get more sharing than that.
I'm sorry you feel that people are taking advantage of these bargains....... but that is what this site is about, finding a bargain, sharing the information and enjoying the benefits.
I hope that you do not feel that this was a personal attack, as it is only a response and defence to my previous posts. I invite anyone to view any posts via my name link and to make there on opinion about my character, I also invite people to check out DaDaDa previous post, and become informed about his character.
To everyone else:
I was going to share some of the trade in values in gamestation currently, but feel that this may be interpreted incorrectly, so sorry. If I do find another list with the new titles that are less than a quid, I will see if I can share it.
Cheers for now, try to enjoy your bargains....guilt free of course! :j:dance:
