At the moment, Vodafone have a roaming promotion (suspending the 75p connection fee of Passport), which is due to last until the end of August. So incoming free, outgoing calls same normal price as in UK, either contract minutes, or on PAYT 20p a minute to UK or use one of their Freedom Pack bundles
Or O2 has Single Country - Spain which costs £5 a month then gives free incoming calls there, 25p a minute outgoing.
If you already have a contract with one of the other networks, you could use your inclusive minutes to forward your calls to one of these.0 -
Thank you for that.

Hi, get a pay as you go sim over there, you should be able to get them easily in any of the phone shops, or any of the so called "looky looky" ones...the ones thats ell duty free goods and general tat.
I lived there for 7 years and never heard you need to be resident for pay as you go. The companies may have changed by now as i left 2 years ag, although main is movistar, orange had started up, and vodafone as well.
then just top up as you go:beer::T :TThanks to everyone on here for the help!!0 -
If the same rules apply as in Spain, then all PAYG Sims must be registered to the providers data base, either using a passport or NIE Number, from November 2009.
This was introduced in light of the Madrid bombings.0 -
Certainly according to Vodafone Es PAYG registration applies to the Spanish mainland and the Canaries.0
