I've designed a small functional website for a small business and now I'm looking to plop it online. The domain itself is available but I have no clue as to who to go to for hosting.
It's only about five pages, quite low in size, and there won't be tonnes of bandwidth needed. I'll need to have an email address ending in mydomain.co.uk
Any ideas, skips?

There are slighly cheaper options available, but I really like the service that I get from http://1and1.co.uk I use them to host my charity's website and for £4.99/month I get the domain name, webspace, lots of bandwidth and a really great admin interface that gives me loads of info.

I've been happy with http://fuzioned.com/sgre/shared.php (formerly called http://macoman.co.uk/ ) on the Bronze package for £25 per year. If there are any problems (and I have only had one small glitch) Colin the owner responds very quickly and gets things sorted.0

I use https://www.34sp.com and have been extremely happy.
£17.95 a year basic package, .com name £20.00 per two years.0 -
I used to use 1and1 but thier customer service is the worst I have ever come across. I ditched them after experiencing lots of problems and stroppy techies who would rather blame the customer than fix the problem.
I am now using pipeten and have found them to be very stable and fairly quick to respond to my questions. I've had one problem since joining them and they soon fixed that.
If I were you, I would do a search around the internet for reviews of some of the hosting companies that have been mentioned here and then make your mind up.Martin0 -
http://freeola.com/ Been using them for years. You only pay for the domain name and everything else is free. Very good customer support as well.0

also get 250Mb of space for your site0 -
1and1 customer service is ok however it does take about 2 dasys just to get a simple reply.

Think I was a bit fast in thanking Dennis99 for his info until I checked out that the smallest package did not include free domain registration bumping up the £25.00 up to £33.00 a year for hosting.
I use these people below:
http://www.uk-cheapest.co.uk/hosting.php?ref=
£29.00 basic plus VAT I believe brings it to about £30.00 a year or £2.41 a month as their homepage boasts.
Been using them for over 2 years.
 If you are angry about something, let it be known....... :wall:If I fail to thank you individually, I am sorry. Your advice was appreciated but may not have been 100% the result I was after.

Ahrimaniac,
don't expect to pay much below £30.00 a year for basic web hosting no matter how large or small your site is to include your own domain name ie www. (whatver name you choose) .com or whetever ending prefix you choose.
Of course there are free hosting services.
Catch is you will have to write out the links to everyone you want to tell your website to.
All basic packages include e-mail for you to end your email address to for example webmaster@ moneysaving expert.com.
