First Neg Received - What Should I Do

Recently listed a puppy pen as a local pick up only. Received a couple of emails during listing asking if I would reconsider posting item. Told them both that no as item is big and bulky and I no longer had packaging. Item sold to a bidder with (0) feedback from Berkshire (I'm in Scotland). She emailed me and said she had a friend locally who would pick it up. I gave her my address details and she said she would organise it. She later got in touch with me to ask when she should book the courier! She needed it asap as she had a puppy with nowhere to put her. I told her I would arrange to be at home on Friday morning if she arranged the courier for an a.m. slot. This she did but courier did not arrive until p.m. and then told me that buyer had booked incorrectly as had said she had postal label when she didn't and so he couldn,t take item. Sent email to that effect to buyer and she was not amused.
She said she would rearrange the courier and I sent email to say wasn't happy as item was sold as local pick up only and this would mean another day for me to wait on courier but to let me know when it was rearranged. She then emailed to say her friend would pick up which he did but as soon as he had she sent a really nasty email rambling on about how I was the devil and a nightmare to deal with and was the most unhelpful person she had ever dealt with on Ebay and if I was looking for feedback I could forget it. She has now of course left neg. feedback and I am so angry!
I have 100% rating since 2004 and this has taken me to 87.5%. Don't know what to do next. I could leave neg feedback for her but assume she will simply close account and reopen a new one which I assume she has done before as said she has been dealing on ebay for years.

Should I just put it down to bad experience and move on, what would you do.
Sorry for rambling:o

Firstly you can't leave a neg for buyers.

Secondly, has she paid? If not open an NPB on her.

Respond to the feedback she left you calmly using the feedback forum.. Have you checked her feedback left for others?

Virtually the same thing happened to me. Pick up only. Buyer wanted me to wait in all day for a courier. Split shifts so couldn't. Told them happy to wait for a courier but would have to be by appointment. They left me negative! I e-mailed Ebay who said they would need a letter from a solicitor to remove the feedback!! I would respond to the negative feedback with what happened, block the buyer and just chalk it up to bad experience.
  • If they haven't paid just open a NPB dispute and when that finishes your neg' should be removed.

Just calmly reply to feedback "item collection only, buyer over 400 miles away. I bent over backwards to accommodate her courier, yet she still left neg."
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

Thanks for the quick replies. I will respond to her feedback but she seems like a nasty piece of work, her email was dreadful. Wouldn't be surprised now if she tried to get her money back through paypal (she has already paid) as well. Makes a bit of a mockery of trying to sell pick up only when buyers can simply bid anyway, arrange a courier and you are then obliged to package it up and wait for a courier. If you refuse you will receive neg. feedback.

did she pay you through paypal if so she may open a dispute for item not received especially if it was collected
Everyones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.

yes, she paid through paypal and I wouldn't be surprised if she did. I think it was all because she incorrectly booked the courier and I think they told her she would have to pay again to get it picked up as it was her fault.

I've replied to the feedback received. Said "Suggest you read all my positive feedback, maybe I was not the problem here"
Do you think that is too strong? I just think it's unfair that you have no comeback, I've checked my buyer requirements and I have specified no buyers with 0 feedback. I thought that this blocked buyers with 0 feedback but apparently not.

I'd have said 'nightmare buyer - sellers beware'
