i too am finding it hard to fly with the kids both here. if their not screaming at each other one is crying.

so every time i go upstairs to do the bedroom one of them gets me back down!!!

oh well only another 6 weeks to go!!!!

ok i have changed dd1's bunk bed
    changed the lo's cot
    done two loads of washing
    hang it all out
    washed up about 8 times!
made them lunch (threw most in the bin)
been to the library where dd1 saw her best friend and they both ignored each other??
have put the small one to bed.

now need to wash the car and clear out all the sweet papers and stickers that seem to magic themselves onto the back seat, as no one ever knows how they get there!!

ok best go before the heavens open and the small one wakes up or whichever comes first!

When does the flying bug kick in and you get the exhileration (sp?) once you've finished  I vaguely remember getting the flying buzz last summer after a mass spring clean of the house and decorating. Right now I feel I want to curl up in front of the telly and watch last nights soaps that are on tape!

I dunno it still hasnt hit me:rotfl:

Little and often works well, I call it dot2dot :) I know exactly what you mean about not having been bitten by the flying bug.

The others will tell you I am one of the world's worst at completing the lists but the fact that I am doing something is good enough for me.

The dot2dot works by clearing one small area and then working outwards or dealing with the bits that bug you the most. Then you maintain these and add a new bit on.

Washing collected in and folded ready to go away, DW emptied more freecycle collections arranged.

Lunch being decluttered in time for me to iron whilst neighbours is on.

I now have 5 more jars of jam cooling ***glow***
and I had to open the former drawer of doom (because that's where the foil/clingfilm/baking parchment etc is kept) for some foil and had another little flutter of happiness because it's so clean and tidy ***glow***
brit gas have phoned and they are coming to service my boiler today. They also asked about the gas fire (which we rarely use) but I am getting that serviced too to be on the safe side. I have to pay extra for that - but better than dying of CO poisoning.

DD has (cleverly) arranged to go to badminton so I am nipping her to queen's park and hoping the gas man won't turn up in the 5 minutes I am out! Fingers crossed!

    ETA Well done Jinky!

Oh and I have pruned my blackcurrant bushes too. The 'green' bin is full. I shall top dress around them with my home grown compost (so to speak) whan I have decluttered DD then lunch! Thanks Serena! I am an enthusiastic but untutored gardner with a penchant for snipping and clipping!

Livingroom, hall and stairs finished. I'll put that in bigger letters on the right day later this week.:D

The livingroom has had extra attention as the new television unit arrived. I delegated the unplugging/untangling/plugging back in to the men in the family. I now at long last have no visible cables - well, for a little while anyway! The new TV will no doubt be the next thing, but apart from putting my foot down on the largest sizes/most expensive choices, I'm not really that interested.

DD having a driving lesson - I'm waiting in until she returns, then I may go to the allotment and plant out the winter veg.

    Woo hoo Jinky.
Poohbear - I don't think many of us got Fridays star, I didn't even try becuase I knew it was too much, and for me was just not what the summer holidays are about. Please keep on posting and reading. I have no intention of even trying this side of September and I am still here.

I find that if I get off my bum and start to do anything then I get heaps done, but the actual start is the issue. I would do something now but I just made a coffee and we are due to meet friends in the park in 15 mins.....
