Sorry - needless to say very new to this and did not realise.
Did not mean to sound facetious. When I phoned up to ask where I went I was given the address in the city, but was never told I had to go through the telephone questionaire first, thats all
Obviously this means I could have the benefit withdrawn in a few weeks were the decision to go against me - does this mean I would need to pay back anything already received or would the 26 weeks (or whatever) start from there?
If I find a job in the meantime does the whole process simply stop?
    Thanks
    Kath

Not being funny but have you spoken to ACAS about the work situation? You may have a case for unfair dismissal... making you do a full time job in part-time hours making the job impossible to do and then replacing you after you left with a FT person but at a cheaper salary...

    Just a thought... :)

GUessing my replacement is probably at a higher salary rather than a lower one as she is, apparently, a qualified accountant which I am not.
Other part time lady is now apparently under a shadow with my replacement having lodged complaints against her and some HR company has been drafted in - she feels she is being ousted. She also let slip that director had emailed her pointing out that all the problems in the company had been down to the poor directorship of the the previous director (chosen and employed by him as owner) and the fact that I clearly had not known what I was doing. Guess I can forget any real support in any of the official quarters.
In honesty, I did make mistakes and I would rather just put the whole sorry affair behind me - remembering that I need a reference from these people as 'my most recent employers' for almost any job I go for.
