    I contacted Npower to have my tariff changed and they sent this today:
    Thank you for your recent email regarding a tariff change.

    Unfortunately, I have been unable to change your account to SOL16, as this is a tariff that has to be applied for on-line, but is only available to new customers.

    I trust this information is helpful to you.
    Has anyone successfully switched from SOL14 to SOL16? How did you do it?

    Rang up 0845 0714525.

    Received 2 confirmation letters (Gas/Elc) 3-4 days later with new charges.

    No problems encountered.

    Just a footnote to say I actualy switched on-line. Went to www. npower.com and clicked on compare npower prices. You input all your current details and simply accept the new quote. The switch was confirmed on the spot, and they will confirm in writing in a few days.
