Why not just email all your contacts your new email address or have the same first part of the email address eg johnsmith@btinternet.com johnsmith@newisp.com

I bet johnsmith at BT loves you :T :T

I wonder if he likes spam.

    Hi
You don't need your old dial up connection to receive your emails from BT, you just set up your old BT email account in Outlook Express, alongside your new one and it will send and receive from there.
No you don't have to use their dial up to get into your account, sending and receiving emails has nothing to do with how you connect to receive them, all it takes it for you to enter the right username/password and you can collect from any computer, anywhere.

POP Account = yourname@btworld.com (your old bt account) (this is to receive emails)
SMTP = yourname@newaccount (your new email account) (this is to send emails)

If you set it up like above, you should be able to get your emails using your broadband.

    Hope this helps.[/QUOTE

Open Outlook Express, Tools, Accounts, Click the account you wish to alter
then click on the severs tab and change the outgoing server to smtp.*****.co.uk/com or whatever your outgoing server is.

BT will delete the old account if you dont use their dial up service every 90 days

yes you can do all the above but after 90 days your accounts will be deleted unless you use a bt diall up connection once every 90 days

I have been using BT for about 9 years and using the same email address so I cant loose the address I have migrated to another ISP (btconnect) yes the same company but it isnt, I now pay £1.50 a month for them to keep my old btinternet addreses active
