Orange Price Change, Not leaving

I'm aware of the other thread, but everyone in there is only talking about how it enables you to leave orange without a fee.

I want to stay with orange, I haven't received this text but I want to know how it will affect me. i've read the entire other thread and it just seems a little confusing.

Basically all the data charges are increasing.

Also costs to all 08 numbers, phoning voicemail, landlines etc that fall outside inclusive minutes is increasing.

As far as i'm aware they are not actually changing the price per minute of calls to voicemail, 08 numbers etc, but are changing the minimum call charge.

As I understand it Orange are changing the minimum call cost from 5p to 15p. So if, for example, you call an 0845 number and they answer and you realise it is the wrong number and just hang up, at the moment that would cost you at 5p if the call was 10 seconds. Under the new price that 'minimum charge' of 5p (like a call connection charge) will now be 15p.

I don't know what is happening with data but I think the cap is being lowered from 500mb a month to 250mb a month.

thats a fair bit. I avoid the 08 numbers like the plague on my mobile anyway. as for the data charge, i'm already on a 500mb/month package, will they decrease it? or is the 250mb just for "new customers"?

Unless you're on the Virgin plan from the dawn of time, yes, All plans started before mid July this year.
