in Water bills
Just received a shot out of the blue today, finding a metered water bill turning up after only 3 months instead of the usual 6. I'd got quite used to only paying it twice a year.
Nice of them to tell me about this change! *grumbles*
Good to see they're keeping their costs down by now having to send out double the number of bills they used to
No idea what they actually plan to achieve with this. Doing some quick numbers, the extra money they may make in interest won't cover the cost of the extra post run, and effectively does increase costs.
Either way, the change in billing cycle is worth folks noting.

They have been doing this quite a while, cash payers are bering billed quarterly(cash, cheque, payment book, over the counter), direct debit customer 6 monthly
Its all to do with getting cash in quicker0 -

Deanos,
How does it get 'cash in quicker'?
With twice a year billing didn't you pay 6 months in advance in April and Oct?
Or has that changed?0 -
It gets cash in quicker as people pay in cash 4 times a year instead of 2, so they get 4 lots of cash in over the year instead of twice a year, all to do with cashflow apparently.
Its only metered properties they are on the new system0
