Hello People, its that time of the year when I finally get to up-grade my phone but was wondering if anyone had any advice/info/whatever.
I’m currently with Orange on an 18-month contract for £30pm, which gets me the following….
550mins
Unlimited Texts
Insurance Cover
The contract expires in October and I’m now within the 3-month period that I can up-grade.
I’ve checked and I have the W995 and 5800 phones available to me for free and can get a 10% discount on what I’m currently paying (straight from the website without having to deal with anyone else).
Now do I just up-grade and take one of those 2 phones and the 10% discount? If so, which one?
Or do I cancel the contact due to the price increase and move to another network? If so, which one?
Or do I wait til October and see what else Orange can offer me?
Please bear in mind that I’ll probably find it hard to move to another network as I was declared bankrupt just over 3 years ago and even though I’ve been a good boy since, I’m not sure any of the networks would go anywhere near me.

Best to check out the O retentions thread to see what others are being offered. It also depends on whether your current tariff is offering you enough minutes/txts/etc.0
