just looked and it said that Feltham don't do any parking...its a NCP car park 180 yards away

Its not 180 yards away. Unless of course they are classing the journey in the lift. The Travelodge overlooks the NCP. They have a deal with the NCP.

    At least you got sorted.
  • Purple Parking now do hotel+parking offers, as well as just normal airport parking. You could compare the two options on one website to see which is the cheapest option for you, then concentrate your choice/searches further from there once you know if you want just airport parking, or just a hotel+parking deal.

I booked the undercover hotel and parking at heathrow and got a good deal with the sheraton skyline - look to see what holiday extras have to offer on the undercover hotels
  • Earlier this year I booked a Secret Hotel through holidayextras, which was in fact the Holiday Inn M4/J4. Very good bargain. You do however have to leave your car keys with them which some people may not like. I think they then park the car off-site and bring it back prior to your arrival. You can book the shuttle bus to the airport or taxi at the hotel.

I’m looking into parking at Heathrow for 10 days from Friday 28th August 2009. From the Virgin Holidays website:

    http://www.fhr-net.co.uk/vholsweb/airport_car_parking/heathrow_airport_parking/

The following meet and greet are offering 10 days for £62, drop and collect car at the terminal. Which considering some bus to terminal parking is around £70, seems reasonable value?

    Economy Meet & Greet
    Happy Days Meet & Greet
    UB8 Meet and Greet
    Drivefly Meet & Greet
    Regards

  • Recent trip from Heathrow I used Meteor Meet and Greet Valet parking - fantastic service and cost the same as a cab from the centre of town. Def one I would use again.

That works out at £175 for the 10 days I need which is a bit more than the £62 for the ones I mention previously. Although who knows, they could offer a very different service....

Whilst knowing nothing of these particular companies, small meet and greet operations have a bad reputation for misusing your car and/or not parking it 'officially'.

Best advice would be to ask them WHERE they are going to park the car. If they are vague/unspecific, avoid them. If they name a park, then the chances are they are straight.

    Hi,

I've just booked this for myself as I'm going to New York in November and flying from terminal 5.

have booked the Travelodge terminal 5 which was £19, its cost £5 to park there overnight.

I have then booked purple parking for the actual duration of the holiday, did it through quidco to get cashback so worked out at £30 for 6 days!

Slight faff having to go from the hotel to the card park in the morning but have done it before and it still beats getting up at stupid o clock to drive down from home.

    Hope that helps!!

Sounds good - though I'd have been tempted to take the car to purple parking the night before - a bit more faffing about then but maybe half an hour to an hour extra in bed in the morning.....
