No links should be active in post#8 - they arn't for me
(you can't click them nor do they show up if you hover your mouse over them)
Which browser are you using? I'm using IE. Can anyone else see them active?"Now to trolling as a concept. .... I received an email yesterday supposedly from paypal, it gave a link to click on and then to call a number from there.
The link is https wwwpaypal.com/active-account, but after reading these posts i hovered the mouse over it and it came up on the bottom of the screen as http mirfc.com/ws.
I haven't googled it yet but i'm sure it is dodgy.0 -

I do ope you have proof they sent the emails. Libel and Slander will cost you dear.
service@paypal is a real address and paypal do hold payments sometimes. Once the buyer has received
the item and left feedback and sometimes selected yes they were happy. The funds get released.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Essentially the link in #6 is diverting to a fake website PLEASE don't click it - it looks like a genuine link, but hover your mouse over it (don't click) you'll see it is diverting elsewhere.
It is a spoof.
I never click on links in emails as a general rule - I always log into PayPal direct. Saves the risk.0 -
Be aware, with the correct researching and horrible websites up on the web it is fairly easy to duplicate or even rename links. So these actual paypal.co.uk links as such can be easily traps to take you to a duplicate site of paypal.
If ever in doubt report as a scam and paypal will confirm it, then report that as a scam to actually check like a previous poster said.
Always be cautious when using paypal, i never believe in what i see always.Better to understand a little than to misunderstand a lot.0 -
I got the same email but with - add a new card as my bank card was out of date. Maybe they think I am a daft old lady but not that daft. :rotfl:0
