Hi everyone,

I have an Orange mobile phone contract and I have had it 10 months now of 18 month contract.
3 to 4 month ago Orange decommissioned a mast near my house resulting in a complete loss of signal. I called them loads of times and found out that they were replacing it like for like this took over 2 months. As a result they reduced my tariff from £45 to £30 with was good, especially when the mast was finished and working.

But...
In the last two week the signal has gone again, we don’t have a land line and we can’t use our mobiles due to no signal. my wife and I are on the same network / rate. I need to swap to a network that works, but can’t afford to have two phones on the go.

My wife is 7 month pregnant and needs to be able to call me at work when she is about to drop?

Any advice, has anyone else been in a similar situation?

Regards,

Matthew

if you got no signal then you can take Orange to court....it happened to one of the customers and when he challenged orange in the court, orange did not turn up and the case went in favour of him and he came out of the contract wtihout any termination charges.
As Inactive advised, better option is PAYG....I know how important for your wife to be connected.....good luck.

    Hi everyone,

thank you all for your comments.

I have spoken to Orange and the mast has been decommisioned definately as the tried to renew the lease and another phone company has taken it up resulting in Orange loosing the coverage. They have put in 3 attempts for planning permission near my house but fail so far.

As they dont know how long it will go on for they have refunded one months line rental on both mine and my wife's account. Next month if it continues phone back and they will refund our line rental again.

I can now afford a PAYG phone.

    Thank you once again.

    Regards,

    Matthew
