Logic of water co's DD assessment baffles me

For 2005/6 I received apayment schedule for £8/month, which I voluntarily upped to £11 as I reckoned that I would have a debt at year end. In fact, even with the increase, I have a year end debt, that I estimate at c.£20 based on my consumption patterm. Now you amy  and :rotfl:. Get this! On 24/3 they issued a letter advising the DD would be reduced to £6.66/month. This is before the use for 2005/6 2nd half is known, and usually the meter is read abiut week 3 in April. I have sant doubt that I'll have to get the ancint counting frame out and then send my slave to beg them to adjust my payments.

What a load of idiots! How the heck do they do their calculations? I'm baffled!

BTW, some may question oaying more than is asked but it is my preference to keep my debts as clear as I possibly can. Anyhow the interest earned on the money would be almost 0.

The Sewrage is charged by anothe co, but desoite the delay in their getting info from the water co, they make a far better fist of it!

Rant over!
