thanx for your reply, im not sure what to do now as the car realy isnt worth much to claim on but worth alot to me, if you know what i mean heheh
so do u thnk i should keep on with TPFT or if its cheaper go for fully comp.? i cant afford to pay out a high excess if i were to damage someone elses car,(which i hp wont happen)
i have had a quote of 450 includes homestart and brakedown. think its a good price but i thnk the excess it abt 250?
im not good at all this
thanx again.

TPFT covers for damage to other cars, just not your own if you're at fault. Putting the excess as high as possible on FC might ending up a lttle cheaper than 3rd party without excess. Since you dont plan to make any claim on your car then what people are saying is put the highest excess you can to bring the premium down.0

You would only have to pay out if you claimed for damage to your own car.
The idea about taking a massive excess on a FC policy is to see if it makes the premium cheaper than TPFT (assuming you are happy to go TPFT, and be responsible for paying for any damage you do to your own car)0 -
If you are at fault with a claim in FC - say your excess is £250, the cost of repair to your car is £700, you will have to pay the excess (£250).....then the insurance company pays the rest - £450. This is where u have to find what is best for you if you dont want to fork out for your repairs (note only apply if you're at fault accident).0
