Yes it's all your fault!!! No no no only joking:D. I can't speak for anyone else of course, but in true Money Saving style I have been looking forward to Easter Saturday for ages now, thinking it would be a great opportunity to fill my freezer for pennies (or something like that). I was going out to the supermarket anyway, shame they hadn't read your thread and therefore had no bargains out for me to buy. But as I say, not so sure how other people will have reacted to your thread.

Well as I mentioned on the daily thread, I popped out around 1pm and spent £6.56 on reduced items at the Co-op:

    2 packs mince
    2 packs peppered smoked mackerel
    1 pack diced casserole steak
    1 pack thin-cut pork chops
    1 pack chicken goujons

I think I did pretty well for the money - paid on average a third of the original price of the items.

We have pikelets, they're like flat crumpets. ;)

I went to Asda yesterday at about 4pm and got loooooaaads of bread, scones, iced fingers, cookies, danish buns all sorts and they were all 10 and 20p even for the invisible crust stuff that DD likes, and the big Allinson loaves. It doesn't recommend freezing for the cookies though? Also got a cabbage for 20p and the cauliflowers are on offer at 50p so got two of those.

My freezer is very full now.
