THE best unlimited broadband at £14.99. WOW
                    hi
So the price wars are just beginning. http://www.adsl4less.com/ offers a much cheaper service than my present ISP nildram.com.
Has anybody here tried http://www.adsl4less.com/ ?
What they like (reliability/speed/service)?
Do they offer newsgroups?
regards

From the FAQ (http://www.adsl4less.com/broadand-faq.htm) on their website:-
Do you provide access to newsgroups?
We do not run our own newsgroups but we do not block access to any others.
I have been with adsl4less for a month now and have had no problems.
The migration process from my old ISP (btinternet) was painless (apart from trying to explain to someone in btinternet's Indian call centre what a MAC code was).
The best thing about adsl4less is the fixed IP address which most other ISPs charge extra for."A nation of plenty so concerned with gain" - Isley Brothers - Harvest for the World0

Agree about adsl4less, been with them from Nildram migration some weeks with no problem.
" The best thing about adsl4less is the fixed IP address which most other ISPs charge extra for. " curious about this, I thought that a fixed IP was standard as part of any always on package on broadband.
Apart from broadband fees shooting down another thing which is really good now - you can have your own .com or .co.uk or whatever for peanuts now - I always fancied having a.com but the cost was really high and could not justify it.. got a .com for myself 2 months ago for 19 quid (lasts 2 years before needing another fee).
.uk's etc are even cheaper I think. My website has lots of info and photos from various Greek and Canary Islands esp. about walking. My profile has the site address cos not allowed to put it here.0

IP addresses get allocated from your ISP (ignoring fixed-IP providers). The allocation of an IP address remains with you / your PC until you / the connection is terminated. On reconnection you are allocated another IP address - extremely unlikely that you will get the same IP address back.
I have a fixed IP with e7even but, fixed IP addresses are only really useful if you are running a website or want to connect into your PC remotely, i.e. you need to know the IP address.

E7even are also very cheap - currently £15 per month uncapped 512kbps. They also include a .uk domain name registration and hosting free of charge. Ubder a recent special offer - I extended my term by another 6 months for just £7.50 per month !To infinity and beyond!0
