secure mail services misdelivering tickets

I had a problem with Recordstore.co.uk last December, and was wondering if anybody else has experienced anything similar/knows if I still have a case after all this time?
Last September I booked tickets for The Prodigy who were playing in my city. It was a small venue and tickets sold out fast. Needless to say, I felt very luckily that I managed to obtain them at all.
I got a confirmation email saying that the tickets (which were for December) would be dispatched about a month before the concert. So I sat back and looked foward to the concert.
December rolled around and I got an email telling me that the tickets had been dispatched via Secure Mail Services and the estimated delivery time was 3 to 5 days.
I must have missed the postman one day because I received a card through the post stating that they had tried to deliver a letter, so I promptly went online to arrange delivery, which was due to arrive in two working days.
However this did not happen. After a few days I rang the people who dispatched the tickets and I was told found out that the tickets had already been signed for.
On the particular date and time that they claimed the tickets had been signed for, I was at home and definitely did not receive any delivery. To make matters worse, when I rang up Secure Mail customer services, they gave me a description of the door that they delivered to, which did not match the colour of my door (I live in a block of high rise flats and the only door in this building that fit the description was number 65, I am number 32).
After a lot of to-ing and fro-ing and bucketloads of stress and annoyance I managed to get them to admit misdelivery and luckily I was sent out a replacement set of tickets. I emailed Secure Mail Services after the concert explaining my disappointment in the service and they sent me a £10 gift voucher, which I told them I was going to return as I do not feel this truly compensates for botching a very important delivery. Aren't couriers supposed to ask for identification before handing over secure mail? And also, how did they get my house number mixed up with somebody elses, couldn't the delivery guy read?
I'm just curious to see if this incident is more widespread than just me, and what, if anything, I can do about it.
Thanks!

Given that all this is over six months ago I think there's very little more you could do now with regard to your particular case.
Legally, I think the contract with Secure Mail Services to deliver the tickets would have been with Recordstore rather than yourself.
Did you get in touch with Recordstore.co.uk at the time to let them know of the difficulties you'd had ? If they had enough complaints then perhaps it would result in them using a different means of dispatch.0
