Looking to move from Demon at £17.99 per month to Plusnet at just £5.99 per month. Just awaiting the MAC code from Demon. However, I am on a 12 month contract with Demon. The rep I spoke to said I'd be billed for the remainder of the contract which runs out ealy next year! Can this be right?

A contract is a contract so you will have to pay up the remainder. The only way you can get out of it is if they're not providing the service they should be.

That's why it's called a contract-you contracted to 12 months which is what they will hold you to.

    Yes it's right.

You might as well stick with your ISP until next year, otherwise you are just going to paying for something you aren't using!

In fact you are going to end up paying £24 p/m for an internet service- maybe more if you are in an area where plusnet put their prices up after the 3 months @ £5.99 are up.

Why are you moving out of interest?
