e2save "bank delays" - trouble at t'mill?
Options
e2save are currently leading me on a merry dance. My final cashback cheque, allegedly issued in May, didn't turn up. They told me I had to wait 28 days from the date of issue before they could reissue it. Well, that period expired mid-June, and my cheque should have been reissued and should have arrived by now.
It hasn't.
They now say that my replacement cheque was actually requested in mid-June, but due to some vague "bank delays" (they wouldn't elaborate), all their payments are being delayed by an additional 28 days (on top of their standard 28 day delay between requesting cheques and them actually landing on anyone's doormat).
What gives here? Should I really sit back, wait for the end of August and trust that I'll get my cash? Or is it time to march off to moneyclaim.gov.uk as I'm minded to? In the midst of recession, and dealing with a company that appears to have an unsustainable business model, I'm not sure I want to hang around for payment.

You have a contract with e2save, it is up to them to fulfill the contract. They have broken their contract with you. Write formally threatening action in small claims court. Their bank problems are not your concern.0

Do not use e2save!
Once you get to claiming they will do virtually anything not to pay out!!!
There should be a warning just for them on this MSE site!0 -

Completely agree – end of the day.. If you had bank problems (they never received payment but you got the product) – Would e2save wait patiently for their money?
Give them notice in writing, 5 working days to pay up or it's off to small claims.. Then whack a bit of cash on top as compensation for them messing you about.0 -

It was this that I found most hilarious about their excuse! In fact I made that point to them.
Does anyone have a good address to write to? The usual one is that dodgy PO box number. Or even a number other than the 0871 claims number? Something like an Executive Office or similar?0 -
I got E2save in May and picked £40 auto cashback rather than £100ish manual, in the hope that automatically would be done without any hassle. Not the case though and I'm still waiting . Posted this to subscribe, as it looks like I'll be following out the same actions as the OP. Even though it's a small amount in comparison to others & the length of my contract, it is still a month off the bill which I would be happy with

Use the regiestered address on their website. Letters Before Action usually go to them c/o cpw - but don't expect fireworks; they are well used to being sued - and anyone embarking on any form of cashback deal with them should be quite prepared to and ready to sue from day one sue rather than mess around like this (which is what they rely on).0
