I just reread the thread, i didnt spot any obvious slander though, may be you could point out the bits that concern you, you made the statement after all. Re comet there are several options really :

Avoid comet completly (its a free world).

If anything does break -wait until the shop is quiet, to avoid any embarasment and avoid making a scene.

or write letters and make phone calls for months. who knows you might get a repair or replacement.

radical one here, check out the firm on the net, see if people generly complain about them, before you spend YOUR money with them.

if things go really wrong, post the MD's direct email adress on the 'net. (only joking)

Maybe the problem with 'people like me' (do you often stereotype people?) is that they are fed up of being treated as a mere income stream by companies like Comet? just a thought, but since you seem to prefer violence, or as you put it 'force' i fear i best not discuss the matter with you.

Oh and another point, people who work in retail have chosen to work in what is called a service industry.... now go figure why they feel that offering a poor service is justifiable. mind you if they only get compliants from people who want to use or respond to physical force maybe they are in the right field, they are obviously unemployable elsewhere.

I am sorry to break this to you but you are a reveune stream to Comet. I don't like violence but I also don't like people who embrass themselves in shops like you.

thanks for the concern, i didn't think of it as embarassing myself though, i think comet found the thought of the implications for them more embarasing. either way i got my money so everyone is happy.
