PDA-style Phone Deals

I'm on the hunt for a decent PDA-style phone, but must have a qwerty keyboard and wi-fi.

So far, the only one I can find is the Orange SPV M2000, at £54.99 handset price and £30 per month.

Any better deals or phones out there at the moment with these 2 features?

I am looking for a PDA style one as well, not too fussy which one however I wanted it so it works out free via cashbacks.
has there ever been a pda phone on one of these deals?, if its unlikely they will be on offer then I might as well just go for a normal deal.

Buy the MDA Vario from Tmobile. It's got all you want. You can get it free on Flext 35 tariffs and you can also get unlimited gprs data for an extra £7.50. If you buy direct from t-mobile you'll also get a permanent 25%discount off line rental too!
They're out of stock online but call your local T-mobile shops to see who has stock and they'll offer the same deal.
PS The M2000 is really old now!
  • Is the Vario the same as the XDA Mini S on o2?

I came across that this morning, and it seems to fit the bill quite nicely - free phone and decent line rental. T-Mobile coverage isn't quite as good as the o2 coverage in my area, from previous experience.

They are both the same made by HTC I got one on 02 which was unlocked but returned it as it was a bit slow IMO. You will have to pay for the mini S but line rental can be cheaper. I am waiting for the elusive N80!

If you are looking for windows PDA try here http://www.coolsmartphone.com/
or http://forum.xda-developers.com/front_page.php loads of info on there.

As said above, yep it's the same phone but you'll get better data tariffs on T-mobile if you need that kind of thing. Saying that, if the reception isn't so good round your way then it may literally be a mute point!

I've heard about it being slow, but apparently doing a hard reset and removing all the o2 rubbish makes a huge difference.

I've found the Mini S available for free in a fair few places, line rentals being around the £25 region, which suits me fine. I'm not too fussed about using data on the move, I'll rely on the Wifi connection for that - pretty much everywhere I go has an open wifi anyway.

    Thanks for the resources!
