Pretty much everything I wore in the 80s I think.

One stunning ensemble was a pink and green checked dropped waist dress, bright pink fishnets, bright pink Docs, huge overcoat and permed hair tied back with a multitude of scarves.

I must have looked like an explosion in a jumble sale or an extra from a Dexys Midnight Runners vid! :rotfl:

Oh, and those awful t-shirts, early 90s, that changed colour with your body heat. The shame!

    Skater jeans with massive chains.

I still do wear really baggy jeans occasionally as I tend to have a hippy/grunge style but I don't live in them like I used to. xD

ooo Bronnie what a small world!!! My husband grew up in the same road that her brother William brogden patterson lived, Aigburth hall road. She was an absoloute shopaholic, good for us as we get agreat insight into the fashions. What really surprised me was that in her later years she was classed as 'outsize' and she could have been no more than a modern size 14!!

Spain shopper, i did that too with tounges hanging out, anyone else put grolch bottle tops on their shoes???? That was my Bros era!! Goanmad i too also had a 'spiral perm' lol. I also did the crop top thing too, i wish i had the stomach i had then though!!

    Keep em coming!!

I have to own up to the grolch tops, I also made my own shoe accessory- Matt had metail flowers so I pulled apart some big badges, leaving only the metail disc cut them into flowers and threaded them in the laces:o it was good then -honest:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I also remeber having lilac leggings and a pale green/ lilac top to match:eek:

I don't need to post anything in this thread.....

If only it was because I was smug and hadn't made any fashion disasters but most of them have already been listed - wallabies, colour change sweat t's, bros outfits, crazy quiff hair etc etc this list goes on and on.

I had an awful experience as a 13 year old at my first time in a night club at an under 18's event and had on a white bra with a black t-shirt. I had no idea that the whole club would see my M&S training bra through the t-shirt all night! The shame of it.

I think anything that is unflattering.

These peasant tops make every woman look pregnant, even if she isn't
    An average day in my life:hello: :eek::mad: :coffee::coffee::coffee::T :o :rotfl: :rotfl: :p :eek::mad: :beer:
I am no expert in property but have lived in many types of homes, in many locations and can only talk from experience.
  • I agree, there is something about those peasant tops that often make women look wenchish.

Haha this thread is funny! I personally have never committed any of the aforementioned fashion crimes apart from the shell suits, satin shirts and peasant tops!

My pet hate is skinny jeans on men especially when worn with stupid pointy shoes and skinny jeans on women larger than a size 14 (sorry if this offends but just because it comes in your size it doesn't mean you should wear it!)

    I have so many.

There are my gold ankle boots and my cerise pink leather jacket. Boob tube (not a good idea when well endowed). Then there were the very tight canvas jeans that you had to lie flat on the floor and pull up zip with coat hanger. Plus the hair. I had shaggy perms, new romantic mullet style with short behind the ears, full fringe and long at the back!

OMG just remembered I had a turquoiuse shell suit.
