Deepest shame is concerning the trip to Center Parks the same year when I felt it necessary to equip the whole family with shell suits involving a lot of fuschia/purple/turquoise flashes.
I thought that loads of fuschia/purple/turquoise was a legal requirement for shell suits?
Not forgetting day glo orange and green as well of course!
I seem to remember satin shirts being pretty "in" around 1995/1996 - have a vague memory of buying a bright orange satin shirt in New Look in the sale for about £4 and thinking what a bargain it was...
Truth is, no one else was stupid enough to buy it :rotfl:DFW no.554 - Proud to be dealing with my debts :TDAVID TENNANT CAN PROBE ME WITH HIS SONIC SCREWDRIVER ANYTIME...:AFLYING THE FLAG FOR THE CAMBRIDGE BOOTS TARTS :happyhear0 -
Satin shirts were in - i had a purple one.... and a retro velvet jacket. Not sure the jacket was ever "in" though lol."On behalf of teachers, I'd like to dedicate this award to Michael Gove and I mean dedicate in the Anglo Saxon sense which means insert roughly into the anus of." I don't think I've had too many complete disasters, mainly because I'm quite a boring dresser. Although some of my childhood outfits were flipping horrible - I had LOADS of culottes
oh yes, cullottes...i used to get sent to school in them instead of skirts, cos my mum preferred them..0 -
Most late 90s/early Noughties crimes against fashion...
- Combat trousers with tassels on them
- Huuuge wide leg jeans (not complete without the bike chain)
- Tracksuit pants that were elasticated at the ankle

            I had purple paisley dungarees.
My only defence is that my mother bought them. And I was 12.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

Oh dear, Jane Fonda style leotard, tights and legwarmers, thinking I was looking super hot at my aerobics classes. What was I thinking? :rotfl:0
